Our story begins with us talking about adopting a second rescue dog. We already own a rescue dog named Clay, a 14 year old border collie shepherd mix. Clay was adopted by us when he was 10 months old in December 2000 after we had lost our 10 year old yellow labrador, Honey, to cancer. We adopted him through CompanionCritters.org which is still in existence today.
We finally made a decision to adopt a second rescue dog and found Tri-Boro Animal Welfare (TBAW) on Facebook. We visited their website and found a border collie shepherd mix named Panda. So on Sunday December 22nd we went to see her. While visiting Panda we saw Frankie and immediately knew he was the one for us. But, as they say," You don't pick the dog, the dog picks you." On Thursday December 26, 2013 we picked up Frankie and brought him home. We are truly blessed to have Frankie as a part of our family and would like to thank TBAW for such a wonderful pet.
